If this is pressed, keyboard will be locked and blank screen will be displayed. Pointing stick & PS/2 mouse is also locked. (Serial mouse is not locked.)(Only one password is supported.)
If the password is registered, to unlock the security, the password needs to be input as follows:
"password"[enter]).
Instant password can be registered by using TSETUP. The password must consist of 1 to 10 characters. Capital letter and small letter is not distinctive. If no password is registered, system is unlocked by input [enter] (press enter key only).
If the system is suspended when instant security is on (KB & display is locked), at resume:
(1) Instant security is unlocked automatically if password is not
registered.
(2) Password check is started if password is registered.
After password check, instant security is unlocked automatically.
Battery Save Mode (Fn+F2)
This key select battery save mode from Full power, Low power or user setting. When Fn+F2 is hit, the popup window will appear at top left corner of screen for DOS or at the center of screen for Windows. The layout of the wording for the popup is as follows:
Battery Save Mode: Full power

Power-up Mode: Resume
This popup window shows the current battery save mode, current battery life and current power-up mode. (This popup window will appear when Fn+F3 key is hit, too.) If the popup window is opened by hitting Fn+F2, the battery save mode, "Full power" in this example, is displayed in reverse video. If the F2 key is pressed again before the Fn key is released, each time it is pressed the battery save mode is toggled (Full power - Low power - user setting - Full power ---). If the Fn key is released, the window will be disappeared.
The default at power on can be set by the setup. This hotkey will affect or change the default in the Setup.
