700 Tecra Main Battery

Main Battery Pack (Battery Life is measured according to PC Magazine Battery Rundown V2.0.)

Note: The capacity of a battery pack is decreased gradually whenever the battery is used (charge & discharge cycle is repeated).

-Battery Type: (6 pcs.) x 3.6V x 2800mAH, Li-Ion

-Battery Life(without APM driver)*1 :

Normal life mode *2 : 2.7H2.5H (Typical)

Long life mode w/ disp. Auto-off disabled *3 : 4.5H4.2H (Typical)

*1: The battery life is measured on the following conditions:

Provisions

-Using PC Magazine Rundown v2.0

- Using the battery pack, which is less than 30-40 times charged & discharged, and

never been overdischarged (discharged long period) or overcharged.

How to measure

1)Making the machine run with the battery until it falls into AutoResume mode.

2)Then connecting AC adaptor with the machine * charging the battery , while

the machine is off.

3)Again, making the machine run with battery until it falls into AutoResume

mode.

4)Then connecting AC adaptor with the machine & charging the battery, while the

machine is off.

5)Measuring the battery operation time by PC Magazine Rundown v.2.0 while

making the machine run with the battery.

*2: Full Power mode (Processing Speed = High, Sleep mode disabled, Display auto-off disabled, HDD auto-off disabled, Brightness 100% (70cd/m2 using single tube), with the condition that CD-ROM drive is not accessed, cooling fan does not rotate, PCMCIA card is not used and modem/sound function is not used.

*3: Low Power mode, display auto-off canceled (Processing Speed = Low, Sleep mode enabled, Display auto-off 3min, HDD auto-off 3min., Brightness 75% (50cd/m2) , with the condition that CD-ROM drive is not accessed, cooling fan does not rotate, PCMCIA card is not used and modem/sound function is not used.

-Resume Backup time: 7 days (using Intel's SMI; with 8MB RAM installed & 100% charged main battery & back-up battery), 8H in low battery & 2.5H without main battery (& 100% back-up battery charged).

-Self Discharge Rate (the duration from fully charged to discharged): TBD
