Noteworthy Cellular-Ready Data/Fax Modem

The Noteworthy™ cellular-ready modem offers the ultimate data reliability and throughput via cellular connection. The Noteworthy cellular-ready modem will allow mobile executives and field professionals to conveniently use their cellular telephones to send and receive data and faxes at speeds comparable to landlines.

Toshiba has included the latest cellular modem technologies in the new Noteworthy modem including the newly developed Throughput X-Cellerator (TX-CEL™), from Celeritas Technologies, Ltd., ETC 1.0 and MNP-10 standard cellular protocols. TX-CEL is a significant cellular modem firmware technology that improves data and fax transmission performance over cellular systems regardless of the error correction protocol used. The user can now transfer data three times faster than previous technologies, cutting down costs of transmitting data over cellular lines.

FEATURES

The Noteworthy cellular-ready data fax modem ships with a standard connector for land-line transmissions. An optional direct connect cable is available at an additional charge for specific cellular phones.

OPTIONAL CELLULAR DIRECT CONNECT

There is currently no standard in the cellular phone industry for direct connection to the handset. Consequently, each cellular telephone manufacturer has a proprietary connection. The Noteworthy cellular-ready modem will offer a separate direct connect package for the most popular telephones.

The Noteworthy modem supports direct connection to the following Nokia cellular telephones: Nokia 121, Technophone PT128, and Technophone PC415. The Noteworthy modem supports direct connection to the following Motorola cellular telephones: MicroTAC Alpha, MicroTAC Ultralite, DPC 550 Flip Phone. Support for additional manufacturers will be added as available.
