The following information was compiled from various sources, including our Technical Information Guide and model-specific technical reference manuals. 8086 and 80286 -based systems have not been included in the list as their architecture does not support use of upper memory for any purpose other than adapter card mapping.
Conventions:
The designation "Backup RAM" encompasses the "battery specific features" of the Toshiba computers. These include; Battery Save Mode features (HDD and Display auto off, CPU sleep mode, Autoresume, etc.).
The designation "HardRAM window" is the 32Kb upper memory area used for overhead when the HardRAM feature is in use. Note that additional amounts of extended memory will be allocated based on the size of the HardRAM drive, as configured by the CMOS set up program.
