The fax/modem was tested on all of Toshiba units with a PCMCIA slot(s), with Toshiba DOS 5.0 or above.

Toshiba machines with PCMCIA slots are:

T1900/C, T1910/CS, T1950/CS/CT, T3300SL, T2400, T3400/CT, T3600, T4500/C, T4600/C, T4700CT, T4800CT, and T6600C.

INSTALLATION:

To install the Toshiba PCMCIA BC14400 modem you will require either the enabler which is shipped with the modem (PDMCIA14.EXE) or version 3.0 of PCMPLUS.

If you are currently using PCMPLUS V3.0 you do not need to install the enabler PDMCIA14.EXE, just insert the modem. PCM V3.0 will automatically recognize the modem.

If you are using PCMPLUS V1.0, remove the following lines from CONFIG.SYS:

DEVICE=C:\PCMPLUS\PCMSS.EXE

DEVICE=C:\PCMPLUS\PCMCS.EXE /WAIT=20 /ADDR=C8 /IRQ=10 DEVICE=C:\PCMPLUS\PCMSCD.EXE /BEEP /COM=2 /RS=4

Add the following EMM exclusion to your config.sys.

DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=C800-C9FF

Run the Installation program which accompanies the modem.

If your version of the installation utility does not list your model, you may choose one that is similar. See below:

Example:

To install on T1910/CS, select the T1900/C option.

To install on T4700CT or T4800CT, select the T4600/C option. To install on T3400/CT or T1950/CT,

select the T1950CS option.

To install on T6600C, select the T4500C option.
