TECHNICAL NOTE (96504)

Summary: DCA Remote Lan Node (RLN) - Windows COM port failure

When using DCA's Remote LAN Node (RLN) on the T3400, the following error occurred upon entering Windows :

"The requested COM port is unavailable because a hardware conflict has been detected. You must change your hardware configuration to be able to use this COM port from Windows applications"

To fix this problem, a modification to the MOUSEDRV.INI (located in the \MOUSE subdirectory) needs to made to allow the mouse to search for a PS/2 port first (as opposed to the serial port).

The modification is as follows :
