TECHNICAL NOTE (93100)

Summary: Allowable Bad Pixels on TFT Display
Date: September 29, 1995
Product: All Toshiba Computers with a TFT Active Matrix Display
Problem / Issue: Non-Conforming Pixels
Solution: See Below
Additional Information: None

Due to the extremely high number of transistors in the color LCD, you may see a few non-conforming pixels. These appear as tiny dots on the screen. The quality inspection that Toshiba performs limits the number of acceptable non-conforming pixels to a total of 25 or less.

If, after continuous use, a large number of newly non-conforming pixels appears, a problem may exist. If this occurs, contact your Toshiba dealer for assistance.
